Comfrey Oil

$14.99$20.00

Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) has been used in ancient times since 400 BC by the Greeks and the Romans, and enjoyed great popularity during the Middle Ages. It was a common herb grown in  monastary gardens. The herb was often applied as a poultice using the leaves and roots to help heal bruises, sprains, broken bones and minor wounds. Common names for Comfrey are knitbone, boneset, and bruisewort which reflects this herb’s popular reputation and its purpose. Comfrey contains allantoin, a chemical that helps tissues regenerate and heal, and rosmarinic acid, an anti-infammatory and pain-relieving compound.

Can be applied directly to the body at the affected area, added to products, or used as a carrier oil.

My Comfrey Oil is made with organic olive oil and comfrey leaves grown in my organic garden. I use a slow infusion process to keep the medicinal components in tact. Comfrey Oil comes in 2 oz. and 4 oz. amber glass bottles.
